What We Offer at the Day Centre

At Maison Place au Soleil, we want to provide a space where everyone can come at their own pace and according to their own needs. The Day Centre is a place to receive support, participate in community life, but also simply take a break and enjoy some company.

 

An On-Site Support Worker

Our support worker is available to welcome participants, listen to their needs and provide assistance with their various steps and goals. They can also help participants identify appropriate resources and connect with services available in the community.

A Budget Counsellor

A budget counsellor will also be available on site to provide support with budgeting, personal finances and the different financial challenges participants may be experiencing.

 Daily Structured Activities

Structured and varied activities will be offered every day to encourage participation, independence, skill development and social connections.

Activities may include creative workshops, cooking, games, physical activities, educational workshops and other activities based on the interests and needs of participants.

 Soup Served Daily

A soup will be prepared and served every day to participants. This is not only an opportunity to enjoy a meal, but also a chance to gather around the table, share a conversation and build connections.

 And what if you just want to have a coffee?

That's absolutely okay!

You don't have to participate in an activity or have a specific reason to visit the Day Centre. You can simply come have a coffee, chat, meet people or enjoy a warm and welcoming space.

Because sometimes, simply having somewhere to go, someone to talk to and a place where you feel welcome is already a big step.
